West Bengal announces special Durga Puja tour packages

West Bengal Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh announced special tour packages for Durga Puja 2026 during the department's budget session in the Assembly.

The tourism department presented a budget of around ₹528 crore for 2026.

The government adopted a five-point strategy themed 'Tourism for All' to boost tourism.

Plans include developing Kolkata as a major tourism hub and Darjeeling, Mandarmani, and the Sunderbans as 'Global Destinations'.

A Tourism Industrial Policy will be created with special focus on promoting Kolkata.
