Simple tricks to keep mushrooms fresh

Store mushrooms in a paper bag in the fridge to absorb moisture and keep them fresh.

Rinse mushrooms lightly just before cooking, then pat dry with a clean cloth or tissue.

Use maida (all-purpose flour) to rub off dirt from mushrooms before rinsing.

Add salt toward the end of cooking mushrooms to prevent them from releasing water.
