LU convocation: Over 1.25L students get degrees, 111 of them bag 204 medals

Over 1.25 lakh students received degrees at Lucknow University's 69th convocation, with 111 students winning 204 medals.

Governor Anandiben Patel announced that degrees and mark sheets are uploaded to DigiLocker, and directed that hard copies not be issued.

Patel expressed concern over men's consistent underperformance in results for seven years and directed LU to investigate.

Patel cited hostel issues (pending allotments, closed messes, lack of washing machines and Wi-Fi) and poor library hours; directed fixes including Saturday library hours.

Among toppers, Farah Chand (MA Persian) won nine medals, and Kanchan Srivastava (LLB) won the Chancellor's Bronze Medal.
