UP governor directs university in Meerut to not allow outside food

UP Governor Anandiben Patel directed Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut to ban outside food on campus to prevent drugs from entering the premises.

Patel made the directive while speaking at the university's 38th convocation, citing the risk of prohibited substances being smuggled through outside food.

She stated that substance abuse makes women feel unsafe and that no negligence on the matter will be tolerated.

Patel urged students to stay away from addiction, describing drugs as destructive to dreams, talent, health, and family hopes.

She referenced the 'Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme' under the theme 'Drug-Free Youth, Developed India' being organized by the Union ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
