8 dead in Michigan house fire, possible murder-suicide

Eight people, including six children and two adults, were found dead inside a home in Grand Haven Township, Michigan, following a suspicious fire.

Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jacob Sparks said some victims had suffered gunshot wounds.

Investigators are considering the possibility of a murder-suicide, but it remains unconfirmed.

The fire was reported around 8:30 a.m. in the 14900 block of Riverside Trail.

Authorities are investigating both the cause of the fire and the circumstances of the deaths.
