In run-up to I-Day, UP schools set to spread message of unity, patriotism

Uttar Pradesh schools will observe Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas on August 14 and run Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan-2026 until August 15.

The state's basic and secondary education department directed schools to involve students, teachers, parents, and local communities in the programs.

Activities include special lectures, exhibitions, essay writing, painting, speech, debate, quiz competitions, patriotic songs, cultural programmes, and Tiranga yatras.

Additional chief secretary Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma issued the guidelines, emphasizing adherence to the Flag Code and community involvement.

Schools must share photos and videos of the programs through designated platforms.
