Rainy week ahead in Delhi after a dry monsoon spell: IMD

Delhi is forecasted to receive multiple spells of rain from Monday to Thursday, ending a dry monsoon spell.

A yellow alert for thunderstorms and strong winds has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Heavy rainfall is expected at isolated locations on Tuesday, with temperatures likely to drop to 31-33°C.

Delhi's heat index reached 45.8°C on Sunday, and the city recorded 137.72 mm of rainfall in July against a normal of 209.7 mm.
