Veteran Telugu actor Pavala Shyamala dies from cardiac arrest at 75, weeks after she was found on streets

Veteran Telugu actor Pavala Shyamala died from cardiac arrest at age 75 on July 28, 2026.

She was found on the streets in May after being turned away from a hospital due to lack of funds.

She had been suffering from severe health issues and was undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad.

Film Development Corporation chairman Dil Raju had stepped in to arrange treatment after the May incident.

In December 2025, she and her daughter had been asked to leave their facility and were rescued by police.
