Indrans' 'PRIVATE' selected for IFFM 2026

Malayalam feature film 'PRIVATE' was selected for the 17th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026, with screenings scheduled in Melbourne, Australia from August 13 to August 23, 2026.

Written and directed by Deepak Deon, 'PRIVATE' stars veteran actor Indrans and Meenakshi Anoop in lead roles.

The film explores themes of shrinking freedom of expression, human rights, and the psychological impact of control on ordinary people, inspired by Deepak Deon's concern over systems of power.

The narrative follows an elderly man and a teenage girl whose shared journey examines trust, resilience, courage, and hope.
