Nashik: Girish Mahajan Directs Timely Completion Of Simhastha Kumbh 2027 Development Works, Warns Against

Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan directed timely completion of Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 infrastructure projects in Nashik, prioritizing roadworks and public convenience.
Mahajan ordered immediate pothole filling, road shoulder restoration, and opening completed stretches to traffic, with continued work during monsoon where feasible.
Contractors must maintain diversion routes and repair potholes on routes like Dwarka Circle, Kathe Galli, Trimbak Road, and Satpur; delays or poor quality will face action.
Mahajan also instructed expediting works on optical fibre network, CCTV surveillance, water supply, sewage treatment plants (STPs), bridges, and other projects awaiting approval.
Municipal Commissioner Manisha Khatri reported substantial progress on major roads (Gangapur Phata, Ambad, Rajiv Gandhi Marg, Trimbak Road, Satpur) with utility works expected by end of August.
