CJI launches campaign against substance abuse in Punjab

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant launched a three-month Youth Recovery and Rehabilitation Campaign in Punjab at the high court complex.

The campaign is implemented by all District Legal Services Authorities from July 18 to October 31.

It aims to support vulnerable youth through treatment, long-term social reintegration, and encouraging drug-free lives.

Special focus is on incarcerated persons suffering from substance dependence.

The campaign involves a three-phase action plan: institutional preparedness, voluntary counselling and referrals, and post-treatment rehabilitation.
