Chandigarh: CITCO lost ₹10 crore in 3 years due to poor planning, says CAG report

CITCO lost ₹10 crore in three years due to poor planning, as per a CAG audit for 2023-24 and 2024-25.

CITCO paid ₹2.08 crore in commissions to MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, and Booking.com from April 2022 to February 2025 because its own online booking platform was non-functional.

CITCO's steel depot had negligible or zero sales in 2023-24 and 2024-25, yet 10 employees remained, causing a ₹1.4 crore loss in two years.

CITCO's decision to operate its own bakery at Sukhna Lake instead of leasing resulted in a combined loss of ₹38 lakh, including ₹28.5 lakh in lost rent.
