'Didn't want headlines, wanted solutions': Raghav Chadha on why he didn't speak on NEET paper leak issue

Raghav Chadha, Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, explained his silence on the NEET paper leak issue in Parliament, saying he sought solutions, not headlines, now that he sits on the treasury benches.

He made the remarks during discussion on the Public Examinations (Amendment) Bill, 2026, in the Rajya Sabha, a day after it was passed by the Lok Sabha.

Chadha said the proposed bill to prevent paper leaks will make exams 'more secure' and the system stronger.

He stated that his focus is to 'fix the system', contrasting his role as an opposition member who raised questions versus now finding solutions.

The bill aims to ensure fair exams, respect merit, and put 'the mafia' in jail, as per Chadha's remarks.
