Two-year-old girl dies, parents’ friend alleges physical abuse by mom

Two-year-old Scarlett Daisy died under suspicious circumstances in Bengaluru's Kammanahalli area.

A friend of the father, Samruddhi, filed a complaint alleging physical abuse by the mother, Roslyn.

Mother Roslyn initially said Scarlett developed breathing difficulties and died at the hospital.

Father Jason Anthony admitted injuries on the child were caused by the mother but denied foul play.

Police registered an unnatural death report and are investigating conflicting statements.
