Kazakh leader tells Putin war should end, Ukraine launches fresh strikes

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told Russia's Vladimir Putin the Ukraine war should end during a forum in Omsk.

Ukraine launched a fresh wave of strikes, including drones hitting a Siberian oil refinery in Tyumen region.

Russian-installed authorities in occupied Ukraine said a Ukrainian strike killed 12 people at a seaside tourist camp.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed the Siberia strike and said Kyiv hit a military factory in Kirov region.

Tokayev suggested the conflict be 'frozen' and called for a return to Istanbul peace talks.
