Man taken for ride after he gifts EV scooter to wife on anniversary in Bengaluru

Jeyaram NS bought an Ola S1 X Plus for Rs 98,702 from the Ola showroom in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, as an anniversary gift for his wife.

The scooter broke down five times within the first five months, starting 24 days after delivery, with issues like refusing to power on and losing display.

Ola never provided a written service report despite multiple requests, and the couple's experience included daily glitches like Bluetooth drops and app freezing.

Jeyaram filed a consumer complaint seeking a full refund after his wife stopped using the scooter following the third breakdown.
