Robbery attempt at Indian men waiting in parking lot after 11 pm, multi-city chase by police in Texas

On July 29, Ryan Edward Drouin, 34, threatened Indian men with a gun in The Colony, Texas, demanding money.

The attempted robbery occurred at Sheesh Eatery & Lounge, where the men were waiting for orders; no injuries were reported.

Police tracked Drouin's Jeep via Flock Safety license plate readers to Plano, after which he fled, triggering a multi-city chase.

During the chase into Dallas, Drouin fired at Richardson officers and was shot; he was taken into custody near Alpha Road and Hughes Lane.

Drouin has a criminal history including terroristic threat, burglary, drug offenses, and family violence assault in Collin County.
