SS Rajamouli reveals 'Varanasi' spans from Antarctica to Rome

SS Rajamouli's upcoming film 'Varanasi' starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra spans locations from Varanasi to Antarctica, Africa, and ancient Rome, returning to Varanasi.

Filming is nearly 80% complete, with major action sequences wrapped; production and post-production are proceeding simultaneously with VFX integration.

'Varanasi' is reportedly shot on an IMAX scale, being the first Indian feature film to be shot on location in IMAX.

The film is rumored to blend mythology, adventure, history, and science fiction into a sweeping cinematic spectacle.

'Varanasi' is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
