After England retirement, Ben Stokes tipped for record AUD 600K BBL comeback
Ben Stokes could become the highest-paid player in Big Bash League history with a record AUD 600,000 contract.
The Sydney Sixers lead the race to sign Stokes, helped by the appointment of former England white-ball coach Matthew Mott.
Stokes retired from international cricket in June 2026 but plans to continue playing domestic and franchise cricket.
Stokes previously played for the Melbourne Renegades in the 2014/15 BBL season.
Other franchises, including the Hobart Hurricanes, are also interested in signing Stokes.
