Massive fire destroys gurdwara in Adelaide

A massive fire destroyed Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar in Virginia, north of Adelaide, Australia, on Sunday night.

The fire broke out around 9:41 pm, prompting a fourth-alarm response with over 60 firefighters and 20 appliances.

No casualties were reported, and sewadars were rescued safely by firefighters.

Akal Takht acting jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj formed a panel of Sikh leaders from Australia and New Zealand to investigate.

The panel will assess the incident, including the status of Guru Granth Sahib saroops, and submit a report.
