Trainee IPS officer, accused of sexual harassment by colleague, hospitalised after suspected suicide attempt

A trainee IPS officer at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad was hospitalized after a suspected suicide attempt.

He faces charges of stalking and sexually harassing a fellow trainee, including sending abusive messages, physical assault, and recording a private video.

The complaint was filed at Attapur police station under BNS sections for assault, sexual harassment, stalking, and IT Act provisions.

The officer denied the allegations on social media, calling them baseless and expressing trust in the legal process.

Investigators will issue a notice for him to appear in connection with the case.
