Bengaluru techie assaulted while driving for Rapido

A Bengaluru techie who works as a Rapido driver on weekends to pay off credit card debt was assaulted by a drunk customer.

The customer hit the driver's helmet, cracking the visor, after the driver refused to cancel the ride due to penalty concerns.

The driver completed around 20 rides without issues before the incident, which changed his perspective on gig worker hardships.

The driver appealed for empathy toward gig workers whose livelihoods depend on platforms like Rapido, Uber, and Blinkit.
