Harshit Mulchandani recalls leaving Toronto job for Deepinder Goyal’s venture: ‘There wasn’t really a job to start’

Harshit Mulchandani resigned from his job in Toronto after applying to Deepinder Goyal's ₹20 lakh Chief of Staff advertisement in November 2024.

The advertisement required candidates to pay ₹20 lakh and offered no salary in the first year, sparking criticism as exploitative.

Mulchandani met Goyal on December 25, 2024, and was offered a role in an unnamed aerospace venture that later became LAT Aerospace.

He quit 16 months later, citing that there was no established job or plan to execute initially.

Mulchandani had previously built Opportunest, a platform with over 14,000 users, and studied at the University of Toronto.
