Pune To Test Electric Double-Decker Buses On 10 Routes From July 21

PMPML will trial electric double-decker buses on 10 Pune routes from July 21.

Trial focuses on corridors without Metro or BRT connectivity to improve public transport accessibility.

Routes include Hadapsar–Wagholi and Hadapsar–Swargate.

Officials will assess road width, turning radius, flyover clearances, and overhead utility lines.

Successful trial could lead to regular operation of high-capacity electric buses for sustainable urban transport.
