Irdai wants every insurance policy tagged to seller from January 2027

IRDAI has issued new regulations requiring every insurance policy to be tagged directly to the selling agent or intermediary from January 2027.

The regulation aims to curb mis-selling by establishing clear accountability for policy sales.

IRDAI also granted perpetual registrations to insurance intermediaries under the new rules.
