Mumbai: BMC, MTDC Plan World-Class Amenities To Boost Citys Tourism Appeal

The BMC and MTDC held a joint meeting chaired by Municipal Commissioner Ashwini Bhide to discuss improving Mumbai's tourism infrastructure and visitor amenities.

The plan includes better sanitation, beautification, safety measures, wayfinding signage, public toilets, drinking water facilities, and digital information systems at key tourist hotspots.

BMC Commissioner Ashwini Bhide said the civic body will collaborate with MTDC to promote Mumbai's tourism potential, develop new attractions, and provide reliable information through dedicated digital platforms.

MTDC General Manager Chandrashekhar Jaiswal emphasized the Maharashtra government's commitment to sustainable tourism, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism, with the BMC taking the lead.
