Maharashtra: Nanded Teacher Dies With 2 Children After Car Plunges Into Godavari River

Sunil More, a teacher at Pota Budruk Zilla Parishad school in Himayatnagar, drove his car into the Godavari River in Nanded, killing himself and his two children Sara (12) and Sumit (8).

Police suspect suicide after More posted a WhatsApp status alleging harassment by his seniors and stating he would end his life with his children.

The car broke through side railings of a bridge over the Godavari and plunged into the water around 8 am on July 17.

State Disaster Response Force recovered the car and bodies after a three-hour operation; post-mortem and probe into harassment allegations are underway.
