France passes assisted dying bill: which countries allow it

in5points
France's National Assembly adopted a landmark assisted dying bill by 291 votes to 241.
The bill creates a legal right to assisted dying for individuals with incurable illnesses.
Patients can self-administer lethal substances (voluntary assisted dying) or, if unable, have a doctor or nurse administer them (medically assisted dying).
France joins other countries that have legalised assisted dying, either fully or partially.
