Uncovered Manhole Found In Mumbai's Chandivali After Saki Naka Death

An uncovered manhole without barricades was spotted on Jama Masjid Road in Mumbai's Chandivali on Wednesday.

Chandivali Citizens Welfare Association shared photographs on X, criticizing the lack of safety measures.

The open manhole is near the Vicinia residential complex, connecting Sangharsh Nagar Road to Chandivali Farm Road.

L Ward Assistant Municipal Commissioner Anil Jadhav said he was unaware but assured staff would secure the manhole.

This follows the fatal Saki Naka incident where Aslam Isak Shaikh died after falling into an uncovered manhole.
