4-year-old gets surgery on wrong leg at Nuh hospital

A four-year-old at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar in Nuh district had surgery on the wrong leg.

The error was discovered after the operation; the correct leg was then also operated on.

The child's father filed a complaint stating the surgeon admitted the mistake and repeated the procedure on the left leg.

A committee of four doctors has been formed to investigate the alleged negligence.

Dr Mukesh Kumar, the medical college director, confirmed the inquiry is underway.
