Over 600 PGs found operating without fire NOCs: Officials

At least 642 PG accommodations in Gurugram lack fire NOCs or adequate fire safety equipment.

Notices have been sent; PGs will be sealed if they fail to obtain an NOC or install proper equipment.

None of the inspected PGs complied with mandatory fire safety norms, according to fire department officials.

The survey covers about 40% of the city, including DLF Phase 3, Chakkarpur, and Sushant Lok, but is slowed by staff shortages.

Similar violations found in coaching centres, hotels, and restaurants: 169 coaching centres and 88 hotels lack fire NOCs.
