Indian-origin US Congressmen Shri Thanedar and Raja Krishnamoorthi vowed to push back against anti-India and anti-immigrant hatred in the United States.
Thanedar warned against growing hostility towards immigrant communities and urged honoring their culture and contributions.
Krishnamoorthi declared Indian-Americans are part of the fabric of the country and will fight anti-Indian and anti-Hindu hatred.
Both lawmakers urged Indian-Americans to contest elections at all levels, including local, state, and national, regardless of party affiliation.
Krishnamoorthi noted Indian-Americans make up about 10% of US doctors and own about 60% of hotels and motels in the country.
