Allot time for debates on Punjab’s critical issues in assembly session: Bajwa to Speaker

Partap Singh Bajwa wrote to Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan to allocate time for debates on Punjab's critical issues in the assembly session from August 3 to August 10.

Bajwa requested circulation of proposed amendments to the anti-sacrilege law two to three days in advance and a dedicated two to three-day discussion on the Bill.

He demanded a full-day debate on law and order, extortion, the Lawrence Bishnoi interview, and alleged police excesses against workers.

Bajwa sought separate debates on the Bargari sacrilege case and the Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura firing incidents.

He called for a white paper on state debt and discussions on Pay Commission arrears, Old Pension Scheme, and vacant teaching posts.
