Incidents rose from 11.46 lakh in 2023 to 18.73 lakh in 2024, more than doubling over two years.

In 2022-23 alone, 50 government websites were hacked with eight data leak incidents.

Minister Jitin Prasada stated that CERT-In operates an automated cyber threat exchange platform for proactive threat mitigation.

Measures include the National Cyber Coordination Centre and Cyber Swachhta Kendra for detecting malicious programs.
