Foster mom announces putting down dog Simon due to cancer

Isabel Klee, creator of Instagram account @SimonSits, announced on July 22, 2026, that she will put down her dog Simon in the coming days.

Simon had liver cancer diagnosed in May 2026, with a prognosis of 8-10 months, and also suffered from epilepsy and seizures.

Klee stated Simon declined rapidly in the past week, with frequent seizures and inability to walk despite medication.

Klee and her husband Jacob, alongside their veterinarian, decided euthanasia was needed to prevent a traumatic death and preserve quality of life.
