HSVP official now mandatory for primary property sale registrations in Gurugram

The revenue department in Gurugram made it mandatory for an authorised HSVP official to be physically present during registration of sale deeds for properties purchased directly from HSVP.

The revised procedure has been in effect since July 15, 2026, and applies to properties sold by HSVP through e-auction or other modes.

The rule does not apply to transactions between private individuals or allottees.

The change aligns HSVP registries with private developers, where authorised representatives remain present during registration to ensure accountability.

An HSVP official noted difficulty in deploying employees to every tehsil, and the matter is under examination.
