Panvel Municipal Corporation will inaugurate an eco-friendly crematorium at the Hindu crematorium in Sector 14, Kharghar on July 17.

The groundbreaking ceremony for an animal cremation centre will also be performed at the same location.

MLA Prashant Thakur will be chief guest, and Mayor Nitin Patil will preside over the event.

The eco-friendly crematorium aims to provide sustainable last rites with reduced environmental impact.

The animal cremation centre will offer a dedicated facility for dignified disposal of deceased animals.
