Jalgaon: Woman Stabbed To Death By Husband After Refusing Money For Alcohol, Sale Of Farmland

Lalita Atmaram Rathod (36) was stabbed to death by her husband Atmaram Patilal Rathod (40) in Vasantwadi Tanda, Bhadgaon taluka, Maharashtra.

The murder occurred after Lalita refused to give her husband money for alcohol and opposed his demand to sell their agricultural land.

Atmaram was addicted to alcohol and frequently demanded money from his wife, repeatedly pressuring her to sell the land.

On March 2, 2025, at around 8:30 am, Atmaram attacked Lalita with a sharp knife, stabbing her repeatedly in the abdomen, causing fatal injuries.

Bhadgaon Police detained Atmaram at the scene and registered a murder case against him; investigation is ongoing.
