No water cuts in Pune city as dam storage improves: PMC

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) ruled out immediate water cuts due to improved dam storage.

Six reservoirs supplying Pune have sufficient water: Khadakwasla at 79.11%, Varasgaon at 68.58%, Panshet at 73.61%, Temghar at 53.22%, Pavana at 89.31%, and Mulshi at 83.54%.

Mayor Manjusha Nagpure confirmed no proposal for water rationing is under consideration.

PMC had announced weekly water cuts starting June 15 due to El Niño concerns, but the plan was put on hold for Ashadhi Wari Palkhi processions.
