Sukhu visits disaster-hit areas in Chamba

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited disaster-hit areas of Chamba district to assess damage from heavy rains and landslides.

He visited Sheetla bridge and Rana Mohalla in Sultanpur, where significant damage was reported.

Sukhu directed officials to restore essential facilities and repair damaged infrastructure and roads on priority.

He inspected the under-construction heliport at Sultanpur, costing ₹12 crore, which aims to boost development and tourism.

The state government plans to start helicopter services in Chamba district by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
