Cinerama Dome, an iconic Hollywood theater shuttered by COVID pandemic, will reopen

Cinerama Dome, a landmark Hollywood theater shuttered during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be restored and reopened.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, will operate the dome and an adjacent 14-theater complex.

The dome's reopening is planned for early 2028, preserving its 1963 geodesic exterior and large logo.

The dome's massive 86-foot-wide curved screen supports 70 mm projection, highlighted by Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey'.
