Gold futures drop to Rs 1,44,022 per 10g on weak spot demand

Gold futures on MCX fell Rs 818 (0.56%) to Rs 1,44,022 per 10 grams on July 31 due to weak spot demand.
In global markets, gold futures traded 0.69% lower at USD 4,075 per ounce in New York.
Spot gold fell 0.6% to $4,076.53 per ounce, but was set for first monthly gain in five months, up about 1.7%.
Domestic gold prices in Delhi rose Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,48,000 per 10 grams on fresh jeweller and retail demand.
Silver prices fell Rs 600 to Rs 2,24,700 per kg, while MCX silver traded at Rs 235 per gram in Chennai.
