Mohali: Refund ₹1 lakh over failed membership promises, panel directs travel company

Mohali consumer commission ordered Club Retreat Hospitality to refund ₹1 lakh to Ripujit Kaur over failed membership promises.

Kaur paid ₹1.25 lakh for a five-year luxury travel membership in November 2023, but received substandard hotels and no cab service in March 2024.

The company did not appear before the commission and was proceeded against ex parte.

Refund must be paid within two months; otherwise it will accrue 6% annual interest.
