Shashi Tharoor’s tweet after being rescued from a stuck lift in Kerala: ‘Half an hour in lift was not a major problem’

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was trapped in a hotel lift in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala for 30 minutes.

The Kerala Fire & Rescue Service used a hydraulic spreader to open the lift door and rescue him.

Tharoor praised the fire force for arriving within five minutes and for their efficient work.

He was on his way to attend the installation ceremony of the Rotary Club of Trivandrum East.

Tharoor thanked the team and noted the delay made him late for two subsequent appointments.
