in5points
  1. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will outsource Mumbai's air quality monitoring to a private company for a year due to shortage of scientific personnel at its Air Quality Monitoring and Research Laboratory in Santacruz.

  2. The selected company will monitor ambient air quality, collect air samples, operate BMC's monitoring stations, and prepare the city's annual Environmental Status Report (ESR).

  3. The BMC is required to submit the ESR before July 31 every year.
