DJB introduces performance-linked pay for operators of sewage treatment plants

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has introduced performance-linked payments for private operators of in-situ sewage treatment plants (STPs) in Delhi's drains.

Payments will be tied directly to the quality of treated wastewater discharged into the Yamuna.

The announcement was made by Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Verma on Thursday.
