Amritsar bullion trader assaulted, robbed of 2kg jewellery in Yamunanagar

Amritsar-based bullion trader Jaipal Singh was assaulted and robbed of nearly 2kg of jewellery in Yamunanagar district.

The stolen jewellery included nearly 1kg of gold and the rest artificial.

Two bike-borne men with covered faces intercepted Singh's vehicle near Bhambholi village, threatened his son with a pistol, and attacked Singh with a knife.

Police are investigating possible insider information and examining CCTV footage and other technical evidence.
