VVS Laxman praised Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's maturity after his 81 off 49 balls in the third T20I against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Sooryavanshi adapted his approach on a slow used wicket, reaching his half-century in 31 balls before accelerating to a strike rate of 165.30.

Laxman highlighted Sooryavanshi's ability to assess and learn from each match and practice session, saying he 'understands, assesses and gets better'.

Zimbabwe had a specific plan to contain Sooryavanshi, but he countered it, making the knock significant in Laxman's view.

Sooryavanshi was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series after scoring 151 runs in three T20Is.
