Shashank Singh quits Chhattisgarh, set to join Pondicherry for 2026-27 season

Shashank Singh is leaving Chhattisgarh to join Pondicherry as a guest player for the 2026-27 domestic season.

Singh cited lack of support from the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh after injuries and his exclusion from the Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League and a pre-season camp.

He previously received the Lala Amarnath Award for Best All-Rounder in Domestic Limited Overs Competitions for the 2023-24 season.

Singh is focusing on white-ball cricket and aims to bowl his full quota of four overs in T20s for Pondicherry and Punjab Kings.

The move was confirmed by P Damodaran, former president of the Cricket Association of Pondicherry.
