Oppn fails to take a cue from student protestors

Student protests led by Abhijeet Dipke's Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in New Delhi, triggered by the NEET exam paper leak, ended with the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Maharashtra's opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) constituents supported the CJP agitation but failed to coordinate a joint movement, organizing separate protests.

Congress held protests at district and tehsil levels, while Shiv Sena (UBT) held a demonstration at Shivaji Park on Friday, with a victory rally scheduled for Sunday.

Congress demands include a judicial probe into the NEET paper leak, withdrawal of cases against protesting students, action against police for the lathi charge in Delhi, and a public apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Maharashtra Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal said the party would continue agitation until all demands are met, despite the education minister's resignation.
